Apple Announces iPhone 5S in One Week

According to rumors all over the internet, Apple is set to announce their next iPhone model in one week. Apparently, Apple has confirmed a media event for next Tuesday, September 10, 2013. At this event, Apple will reveal the iPhone 5S, the iPhone 5C, and the new iOS 7.

The iPhone 5S, while retaining the physical design of the iPhone 5, should have other substantial upgrades. According to an article from Mirror News, the new model of iPhone should have a faster A7 processor compared to the A6 processor in the iPhone 5. The article claims that the A7 is 31% faster than the current version.

As well as a new processor, the iPhone 5S is rumored to have a Retina+ Sharp IGZO display. It should also include a 13MP camera with a dual LED flash which will increase performance with low-light photography. The new model should also be available in a new color or two, champagne and possibly graphite.

The article on Mirror News also describes a chip in the new iPhone 5S that could be related to motion tracking. The new chip could track user's eye movement while using their iPhones. For example, if they look away from the display, the screen light may dim.

The iPhone 5C will be a cheaper, more affordable version of the iPhone. This model should have a plastic casing that helps cut down on costs. Also, this model is rumored to be available in a variety of colors, including pink, blue, and yellow.
