Yesterday HitFix.com released an article announcing the arrival of some familiar faces to X-Men: Days of Future Past's cast list. The film's director, Bryan Singer, tweeted his welcome to Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, and Ellen Page. The three are set to reprise their roles as Rogue, Iceman, and Kitty Pryde.

The film has also retained a few major names from its predecessor X-Men: First Class. Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender will return in Days of Future Past.

But it doesn't end there. Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart will also reprise their roles from the original X-Men trilogy. All together, the cast list is beefing up with plenty of big names. IMDb's page for the film even lists Halle Berry and James Marsden as rumored to reprise their roles as well.

Earlier today it was first announced by The Wrap that a director had officially been chosen to helm the new Star Wars film. J.J. Abrams, known for such projects as Lost, Super 8, and the rebooted Star Trek franchise, is set to take on the role.

It was first announced that a new set of Star Wars films were to be expected once Disney purchased Lucasfilm last year. This first film is slated for a 2015 release, ten years after the last Star Wars film made it into theaters.

Joining Abrams in this project is screenwriter Michael Arndt who will pen the script. Arndt is known for his work on the screenplays for Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine. He is also responsible for writing the script for this years' The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

With the talents of these two coming together for the newest Star Wars film, expectations will be high. Like they wouldn't be already, right? For more information, please click on the link below.
