Today on Yahoo! News, a video from Trending Now was posted about a few good samaritans in Boston. A man had accidentally walked off the platform and took a hard fall onto the subway tracks. It became evident that the man was not responding to the crowd's concern. Therefore, a few individuals quickly jumped down to lift him back onto the platform. The station crew was apparently alerted in time to stop incoming trains, but these bystanders were not aware of this. They selflessly acted to help save this stranger's life. An amazing story and video that reminds us that there are still good people left in this world.

Tuesday on Yahoo! Finance, The Daily Ticker's Morgan Korn posted an article and video about the recent controversial statements of one Harry Binswanger. This former college professor sat down with two individuals from The Daily Ticker, including Aaron Task and Henry Blodget.

According to the article and video, it seems that Binswanger firmly believes that the 99% are indebted to 1%. The 99% should give back to the 1% for "their enormous contributions to our standard of living." Also, Binswanger believes that the 1% should therefore not be punished by having to pay taxes. They should be exempt.

J.K. Rowling to Revisit the Wizarding World

According to an announcement today by J.K. Rowling and Warner Bros., the wizarding world is going to make another appearance on the big screen. A short article on USA Today's website details the announcement. J.K. Rowling will be making her screenwriting debut to pen the script for an upcoming film based on the Harry Potter textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The film is to be the first in a new series of films.

The story will follow the book's author Newt Scamander and will be neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter films. The story will take place in the same wizarding world containing muggles and witches/wizards, but will occur some 70 years before Harry Potter's time.

Apple Unveils iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C

Today was the day for Apple's big announcement. They unveiled their two new phones, the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C. As predicted by some rumors, it appears as though Apple will no longer sell their iPhone 5 models. They will offer the iPhone 5S starting at $199, the iPhone 5C starting at $99, and the iPhone 4S at $0.

It seems as though the rumors discussed in my blog post last week were accurate. Click here to read last week's post. It is interesting to note, however, that the iPhone 5C will be available for pre-order on Friday, September 13th, but the iPhone 5S does not have a pre-order date at all. Instead, customers are directed to place orders on the actual release date of Friday, September 20th, or they can purchase in stores starting at 8AM that morning.

Apple Announces iPhone 5S in One Week

According to rumors all over the internet, Apple is set to announce their next iPhone model in one week. Apparently, Apple has confirmed a media event for next Tuesday, September 10, 2013. At this event, Apple will reveal the iPhone 5S, the iPhone 5C, and the new iOS 7.

The iPhone 5S, while retaining the physical design of the iPhone 5, should have other substantial upgrades. According to an article from Mirror News, the new model of iPhone should have a faster A7 processor compared to the A6 processor in the iPhone 5. The article claims that the A7 is 31% faster than the current version.

As well as a new processor, the iPhone 5S is rumored to have a Retina+ Sharp IGZO display. It should also include a 13MP camera with a dual LED flash which will increase performance with low-light photography. The new model should also be available in a new color or two, champagne and possibly graphite.

The article on Mirror News also describes a chip in the new iPhone 5S that could be related to motion tracking. The new chip could track user's eye movement while using their iPhones. For example, if they look away from the display, the screen light may dim.

The iPhone 5C will be a cheaper, more affordable version of the iPhone. This model should have a plastic casing that helps cut down on costs. Also, this model is rumored to be available in a variety of colors, including pink, blue, and yellow.
