'Popular Mechanics' Tips for Saving Gas This Summer

This past Friday on Yahoo! Autos, Popular Mechanics' writer Mike Allen posted an article providing different tips on how to save gas this summer. This first tip from Allen was to avoid braking so much to stop the vehicle. Instead, try and coast before applying the brake. Second, try accelerating a little faster from a complete stop. Most people believe you should accelerate slowly, however, this appears to save you less gas according to Popular Mechanics' studies. Third, when driving under 60mph you would save more gas by driving with the windows down. On the other hand, when driving over 60mph you can put the windows up and use the A/C to save on gas.
