Harold Camping Corrects His Prediction for the End of the World

Today Yahoo! News posted an article written by Garance Burke of the Associated Press about Harold Camping's revised prediction. The preacher from California who had predicted the Rapture to occur on May 21, 2011, stated that they misunderstood what the date really meant. According to Burke, Camping claims that May 21 was a "spiritual" Judgement Day, but that the real end would come on October 21, 2011.

Camping believes that his new prediction is accurate, but Tim LaHaye, one of the authors of the Left Behind series of books, pointed out a Bible verse in opposition of Camping's prediction. LaHaye was referring to Matthew 24:36, which states, "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

Burke's article discusses Harold Camping and his prediction in more depth. Be sure to click the link below to read the entire article and to watch the video of Harold Camping.
