iPhone 4 Explodes During Flight

Yesterday on Yahoo! News an article was posted from Good Morning America's Lauren Effron. The article was about an iPhone 4 that exploded during a flight on an Australian airline. The Regional Express flight from Lismore to Sydney was set to land when a passenger's iPhone 4 started emitting smoke and glowing red. A flight attendant carefully handled the situation and the phone was handed over to the Australian Transport Safety Bureau. This is a rare occurrence, but according to the article, other explosions have been reported in the past and have been attributed to the phone's lithium ion battery overheating. Be sure to click on the link below to read the rest of Effron's article.
